　　Zhou Yongkai, male, Han nationality, a native of Bazhong, Sichuan, born in March 1928, joined the Communist Party of China in August 1945, joined the Party in the same month of the same year, former Deputy Secretary of the Daxian District Committee of Sichuan Province, retired in June 1991.

　　Comrade Zhou Yongkai is an example of practicing the original mission of the Communists and a role model for Party members and cadres to learn from. He was infinitely loyal to the Party's cause, risking his life to engage in the Party's underground work in northern Sichuan before the liberation, and after the founding of New China, he wholeheartedly served the people, listening to the Party and following the Party all his life, practicing the motto of "the Party is a lifelong follower" with practical actions. During his service, he did his duty, worked hard and led the masses to plant trees and forests; he investigated and handled cases under pressure, and resolutely fought against corruption. After retirement, he actively engaged in the cause of ecological environmental protection, led the formation of retired cadres' voluntary forest protection team, spared no effort to participate in forest protection and afforestation in Huajiashan, Wanyuan City, and promoted the establishment of Huajiashan as a national nature reserve, always practicing with vigorous revolutionary enthusiasm the simple promise of "people can leave the service but Communist Party members will never leave the service". He treated the masses as his relatives and donated his retirement fund to help the poor and the needy for many times. He bought seedlings of Chinese herbs for the people of Calyx Mountain out of his own pocket, and promoted the establishment of a professional cooperative of Sichuan-Shanxi calyx shellfish, driving the people of the old area to grow on a large scale and get rich. He has always been strict with himself and his family, taking the initiative to give up the housing quota for the construction of housing units, and still lives in the old family home built in the 1980s, most of the furniture is still the supplies of the 1990s. Comrade Zhou Yongkai has devoted his life to the old revolutionary area and to the Calyx Mountains, and is known locally as the "Fool of the Calyx", as he has been sticking to his original mission as a communist for decades.
