Changzhou, China News Network - From June to September, our city conducted comprehensive and thorough safety production inspections. Yesterday, Vice Mayor Shang Jianrong led heads of the Public Security, Transportation, Safety Supervision, and Civil Defense departments to New North District for safety production supervision.
Shang Jianrong and his team visited Fengju International Plaza, Xingyu Automotive Lighting Co., Ltd., Bus Company No. 3, Taiping Communication Technology Co., Ltd., and the North City Passenger Transport Terminal to inspect fire safety facilities, emergency plans, and safety passages in urban complexes, employee safety production education and training systems, and protective measures at toxic substance production enterprises.
The bus arson case in Xiamen shocked the entire country. Recently, other cities nationwide and our city have successively experienced incidents of assault against bus drivers and staff. The inspection team conducted focused checks on Bus Company No. 3 and the North City Passenger Transport Terminal. The team members held in-depth discussions with the heads of the bus and passenger transport departments on how to strengthen security checks, prevent prohibited items from entering stations and boarding vehicles, avoid speeding and overloading, and prevent drunk and fatigued driving by drivers.
Shang Jianrong emphasized firmly establishing the concept of 'people-oriented, safe development,' focusing on safety issues in densely populated places, flammable and explosive units, chemical enterprises, construction sites, and other key areas, industries, and positions. All identified problems must be promptly rectified, and a sound long-term mechanism should be established to ensure that no major or serious safety production accidents occur in the city.
